Joseph A. Machnik, Ph. D.
Founder
Dr. Joe served as Assistant Coach to the 1990 United States World Cup team and was awarded a FIFA bronze medal as Assistant Coach of the United States National Five-A Side team at the World Championships in 1989. Machnik’s coaching and officiating career highlights include:
- Being Named a NCAA Collegiate All-American
- Led five different teams to the NCAA/NAIA National Championship Finals
- Coaching New York Arrows, Major Indoor Soccer League
- Officiated NCAA Finals and two MISL All-Star games
- Deputy Commissioner for Soccer Competition for the 1995 World Special Olympics
- Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner for on-field competition, Major League Soccer
- Being Named to the Athletic Hall of Fame at Long Island University and University of New Haven
- Connecticut and New England Soccer Hall of Fame
- National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association Hall of Fame
- FIFA/CONCACAF Match Commissioner
